Updates

So I figured I would write about how things are going with this pregnancy.
So far so good!
I now go to the doctors every 2 weeks, my next appointment is on Wednesday. At my 28 week appointment, I had a glucose tolerance test and some routine labs drawn. My glucose test came back fine, but my labs showed I was a little anemic. The nurse called me and suggested that I take an iron supplement on top of my pre-natal vitamin. So, I went to the store and bought some iron. Just what I need, more stuff to make me constipated. At every visit so far, my blood pressure has been great, my belly measures the same number of weeks I am at. For instance, at my 28 week appointment, I measured 28 cm. Logan's heartbeat is always good. My appointments are usually pretty uneventful, which is a good thing. I am not scheduled for any more ultrasounds, unless there are complications or something wrong. I really was hoping to get another glimpse of her, but I'll stay in suspense until she arrives.
I am always wondering about what/whom she will look like. I really am getting excited for her arrival and I can't wait to meet her. Tomorrow I will be 30 weeks, which means I have about 10 weeks (2 1/2 months) left. It seems like a long time, but at the same time, it seems like it's so close.
The next few weeks will be busy. Next weekend, Jeremy has the whole weekend off, so he and I will be busy re-arranging and packing stuff up in the other 2 bedrooms. Well, he will be doing the re-arranging, I will be supervising and putting stuff in boxes. The next plan is to paint her room, which means that at some point this week, I need to get samples on the wall and pick the final colors and also purchase the chair railing. I have this vision for her room, I just hope I can make it happen.
My first shower is coming up in March, and I am really excited. My friends are throwing it for me. I was hoping my  mom could make it, but she will be coming to my April shower (the family shower the Mason side of the family does).
Jeremy is so excited, I can't even express how excited he is for her to be here. He tells her to, "Hurry up and get here so daddy can play with you" He enjoys feeling her move and watching my belly  move. I can be sitting in my chair and him in his chair and he can look over and watch my belly do all sorts of funny things. When he wakes up, he tells her good morning, or tells her goodbye when he's leaving for work. He is always talking to my belly, and let me tell you, it gets her moving! He likes to tell her to dance, and she does, most of the time. It's so exciting to talk about how things will be when she is finally here. He is really great about listening to me ramble on about my excitement.
My mother and father in law are making plans to be here in May. I think they are going to be here about 2 days before her due date and leave the following week. That way, she will either already be born by the time they get here or she will be born sometime while she is here.
I have decided that I don't want to go too many days past my due date, so if she isn't here by May 8th, then I'll ask to be induced sometime that week. Otherwise, I don't really want an induction.
Skittles has not been laying on my stomach as often as she used to, it's getting more uncomfortable for her to "knead" by belly, which she likes to do before she gets comfortable.
It seems that I will be going on a growing spurt here again soon. I've started having round ligament pain again, and the aching back and joints are starting to return. All this means, I'll be growing again, which is a good thing because she needs room.
All in all I (we) are really excited. I hope to have more pictures posted as soon as we get her room done.

Practice Logan

Jeremy thought it might be a good idea to have a baby doll around the house to help get the puppies and gatos used to the idea of a baby. I found an old cabbage patch kid and we have placed her either on the bed or the couch. The dogs and cats don't really mind having the doll laying around. Earlier today I found Bits cuddling with practice Logan. So cute!

Logan's new outfit

When I found out I was having a girl, I wanted to get Logan a special outfit!!!
This was made by a local store that personalizes things and a lot of thought went into it. She's going to look so darn cute!
